Good food, heartfelt conversation, and the simple joy
of being together
Some of my favorite memories from the gatherings and celebrations I have created over the years are not from the ceremony or the event itself, but from what happened when we sat down and ate together. No matter what we were celebrating or commemorating, the conversations and stories that unfolded while we shared a meal have a way of staying with me.
It's no wonder. Eating together is rooted in one of the oldest ways we know to be in communion with one another. For generations and generations, people have gathered around a table to share what they have grown, cooked, and prepared with their own hands; to share their day, tell stories, remember those who are no longer with them, celebrate special moments - big and small - and simply find comfort in one another's presence. A shared meal is a small and enduring expression of hospitality, friendship, gratitude, and our need for one another.
At The Living Table, each person brings something to contribute to the meal, and together we have an evening of friendship, fun, spirituality, love, and heartfelt conversation. This is an intimate offering with seating for eight guests. Early registration is suggested.
See you at the table!
