Winter Spiral of Light
A beautiful indoor candle-lit journey through winter greenery, boughs, and crystals, that brings deep symbolism to the darkest months of the year.

One of Sacred's most beloved and well-attended gatherings, the Winter Spiral of Light is a beautiful and deeply meaningful tradition that invites us to slow down, turn inward, and celebrate the return of the light.
Held near the winter solstice, the longest night of the year, this simple yet powerful ceremony reminds us that even in the darkest seasons, light is never far away. It is a time for quiet reflection, renewal, and connection with ourselves, one another, and the natural rhythms of the earth.
The ceremony begins in darkness, with each participant holding an unlit candle. One by one, we walk a spiral pathway of fresh greenery, slowly making our way inward toward a single candle burning at its center. There, we light our own candle and begin the journey back out, carrying our newly kindled light with us. Before leaving the spiral, we place our candle among the greenery, adding our light to those who have walked before us.
As each person makes the journey, the spiral gradually transforms from darkness into a beautiful, glowing circle of light. What began with a single flame becomes something extraordinary, created by each of us bringing our own light into the world.
Once everyone has walked, we spend a few moments together in contemplative silence, surrounded by the soft glow of the candles and the beauty of what we have created together.
This event is a special opportunity to take a few minutes and reflect on the year behind us, consider what has been living in us that can be carried forward, and remember that even the smallest light makes a difference in the whole.
