Winter Spiral of Light
Held on December 21, 2025
5:30 p.m.
Vero Christo Studio, Lewisville, NC
For thousands of years, people have gathered to celebrate spiritual life through ritual, song, dance, food, and story. These celebratory festivals reconnect us with the deeper rhythm of the Earth, helping to heal our sense of separation from spirit, each other, and the vast web of life that links us to the cosmos.

At the heart of the year’s turning are four sacred festivals, marked by the solstices and equinoxes; moments that invite us to pause, step out of daily distractions, and attune ourselves to the eternal forces moving through nature and soul. These are times to not just understand, but to feel our unity with all that is—an awareness that only awakens through intentional gathering and shared experience.

The four seasonal festivals are Michaelmas (fall), Christmas (winter), Easter (spring), and St. John (summer).

Sacred Heart's annual Winter Spiral of Light, a beautiful indoor candle-lit journey through winter greenery, boughs, and crystals is our next Festival Celebration. It will be held on the Winter Solstice, December 21, 2025.
Early winter celebrates a turning point when the days become darker and shorter. We experience a mood of anticipation, preparation, and waiting for the four weeks leading up to Christmas. Walking a Winter Spiral of Light is a powerful and sacred experience, carrying deep symbolism and creating space for reflection, intention-setting, and connection with nature's cycles, as we look inward and kindle our own light to carry us through winter. This ceremony is one of Sacred Heart's most cherished and well attended community celebrations.
